Senior Midday Assistant job summary
Stifford Clays Primary School is a happy and positive school and is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly and reliable Senior Midday Assistant. Responsibilities will include managing our team of Midday Assistants to support and supervise children at lunchtime in the dining hall and in the playground, and to encourage social interaction amongst the pupils. The role is 10 hours per week, 11.30am-1.30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.
The role will include:
planning, leading and ensuring daily cover for pupils during the lunchtime period
supporting our office colleagues with contacting parents/carers with any first aid issues occurring during lunch time
planning lunchtime activities
supporting the Midday team with resolving issues and ensuring excellent safeguarding practice at all times
transition of pupils to and from the dining hall
supervision and support of pupils while they eat
promotion and supervision of positive and active play and pupil relationships
health safety, security and basic first aid (after relevant training) and record-keeping.
