Senior Midday Meals Supervisor job summary

We are looking for a committed, reliable and enthusiastic team-player to lead our fabulous group of Midday Supervisors. The ideal candidate will ensure lunchtimes are a positive and enjoyable part of the day for children and staff and, as a result, a successful lunch-time experience will be had by all.

Senior Midday Supervisors support, induct and lead our Midday team whilst also being happy to get stuck in to the day-to-day tasks required during lunch-times. This will involve:

  • Managing the inside and outside team
  • Liaising with the admin, teaching and catering team regarding lunches
  • Setting up and clearing the tables
  • Ensuring children with special diets and medical needs receive the correct/safe food
  • Assisting and supervising children during lunchtime (both in the dining hall and playground) to ensure positive behaviours
  • Enabling children have an enjoyable and sociable lunchtime experience
  • Encouraging healthy eating and good manners.

You will also be a key champion of our OPAL project and will help engage and enhance the team and children in a wide range of games and activities whilst promoting positive play and behaviour and helping children build relationships with others.
