What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a proactive and friendly School Administrator to help support the smooth running of our school. You will be the go-to person, managing key administrative tasks to ensure the effective operation of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Lead and Support safeguarding compliance, including maintaining the Single Central Record and ensuring all staff, visitors and contractors meet safeguarding requirements.
Ø Provide professional front of house and administrative support, acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
Ø Manage school administration systems including attendance, student records, finance, correspondence and statutory returns.
Ø Support student welfare, admissions and transitions, including medical needs, first aid, annual reviews and liaison with the School Business Manager.
Ø Assist with the organization of school events, outings, inventory managements and staff wellbeing activities in liaison with the Schol Business Manager.
Key Requirements:
Ø English and Maths GCSE graded A*-C/9-4 or equivalent.
Ø Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ø Knowledge of other school systems
Ø Experience of using Arbor

Addington Valley Academy is special Free School in Croydon for children and young people with autism and learning difficulties. The school opened in 2020 and provides 150 places for children and young people aged 2-19 who have autism and social communication, cognitive, sensory and social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
The new purpose designed school is equipped to meet the needs of students and includes sensory gardens, indoor sensory rooms, soft-play area, and a large cookery room along with other facilities to encourage students to learn skills to live independently. Students access specialist support enabling them to learn and achieve in a nurturing and aspirational environment.
