We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Senior People & Culture Adviser to join our Trust and play a key role in delivering a high‑quality, solutions‑focused people service to our schools.

In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll work closely with Headteachers, senior leaders and school office teams; building strong relationships, understanding workforce needs and offering confident, professional guidance across all aspects of people practice. You’ll lead your own employee relations caseload, handling more complex or sensitive matters with sound judgement, and provide clear, practical advice that helps leaders navigate policies and processes with confidence.

You’ll also play a key part in upskilling managers, delivering training and day‑to‑day support that strengthens their ability to manage issues early and embed consistent, high‑quality people practices across the Trust. Alongside this, you’ll contribute to the delivery of our People & Culture strategy, support improvements to systems and policies, and use people data to highlight trends, risks and opportunities.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • CIPD Level 5 (minimum) or equivalent experience, with strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Significant experience managing a broad range of ER cases with independence and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong analytical ability and confidence working with people data.
  • The resilience, judgement and emotional intelligence needed to support leaders through sensitive situations.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, integrity and continuous improvement.

If you’re a confident HR professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, improving people practices and making a meaningful difference across schools, we’d love to hear from you.
