Are you a physiotherapist who is passionate about making a difference in children’s lives? Do you enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and progressive environment? Are you ready to take on a role that combines a rewarding clinical caseload with the opportunity to lead and shape services you can be proud of?
If so, we would love to hear from you. Join our team of dedicated therapy and education professionals and take the next step in a career that truly makes an impact.
Physiotherapy is an integral part of the therapy services within the Eden Academy Trust. As our therapy provision continues to grow, we are excited to offer a new opportunity for a physiotherapist to take on a lead role within the service.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced clinician with a strong background in working with children and young people aged 3-19 who present with a range of movement disorders and additional needs.
You will work closely with colleagues across the Trust and with external professionals, giving you the chance to broaden your clinical experience in a variety of mainstream settings. This role will both challenge and enhance your skills while allowing you to contribute to wider service development.
Your responsibilities will include assessment, delivery of treatment sessions, equipment provision, staff training, and involvement in service development. At the Eden Academy Trust, innovation, professional development, and personal growth are at the heart of what we do. We provide regular supervision, mentoring, and wellbeing support to help you thrive in your role.
We are a progressive Trust, committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our pupils. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and eager to play an active role in shaping and implementing our strategy.
If this feels like the next step in your career, we would be delighted to hear from you. We welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their professional journey, depending on their clinical experience.
A bit more about the Trust:
Eden Academy Trust
The Eden Academy Trust is a family of specialist SEN schools dedicated to meeting the needs of children and young people with a wide range of learning disabilities. This includes supporting pupils who are autistic and those with physical or sensory needs.
Location
For this post, you will initially be based at Sunshine House School in Northwood. In January 2025, staff and pupils will relocate to our brand-new premises at Pinn River SEN School in Pinner. All schools within the Trust are easily accessible by public transport and also offer onsite parking. While this role may occasionally require travel between sites during the working day, this will only be on an ad-hoc basis.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist with a passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs. You will thrive in a collaborative, multi-professional environment and bring a rounded foundation of physiotherapy skills. Specialist experience in paediatrics and/or special needs would be an advantage.
In addition to holding a physiotherapy degree and post-qualification experience, you will need excellent communication skills and confidence in using information technology and relevant software.
Following induction, you will manage an allocated caseload appropriate to your level of experience, working alongside experienced clinicians and colleagues from other disciplines. Your initiative and new ideas will be welcomed, with opportunities to contribute to service development and potentially take on lead responsibilities.
We offer a supportive environment with regular supervision, a varied caseload, and clear opportunities for career development. Training and CPD activities will be provided in line with your professional needs and service priorities, with protected time allocated for self-directed development.
We are continually looking for ways to enhance our service and welcome applicants who are positive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high standards of care while safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils across the Trust.
Applicants should:
Be qualified and HCPC-registered physiotherapists
Have experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities
Bring paediatric physiotherapy expertise and transferable skills relevant to this role
Be passionate about delivering high-quality care
Demonstrate creativity, flexibility, and a proactive approach
