Senior Science Technician job summary

About this Role

As our Senior Science Technician, you will provide day-to-day leadership of the dedicated technician team, ensuring the effective planning and delivery of technical support across the Science Faculty. Working closely with the Head of Science and teaching colleagues, you will coordinate workloads, communicate effectively across the department, and ensure laboratories are safe, organised and fully equipped for practical learning. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative working environment, supporting staff development, driving high standards of service and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

The successful candidate will be a confident leader with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, students and external partners. You will be an effective problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative environment, motivates others and leads by example.
