- Technical expertise: Experience in preparing and maintaining science apparatus, solutions, and materials for lessons and assessments.
- Health and safety knowledge: Familiarity with regulations and best practices, including CLEAPSS guidance, and the ability to ensure safe laboratory practices.
- Organisational skills: Ability to manage requisitions, stock, budgets, and records effectively.
- Leadership and teamwork: Experience training and directing staff, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving skills: Confidence in repairing, maintaining, and adapting equipment and resources.
- Flexibility and initiative: Adaptable to support special events, manage varied tasks, and stay updated with developments in science education.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Science Technician to join our dynamic science department from February 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education by managing and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing practical lessons, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and providing technical support to teachers and students. If you have a passion for science, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team, we would love to hear from you..
