What skills and experience we're looking for
-
Experience of working in a science background. The key aspects of the role are to support teaching and learning across the Science Department by ensuring Science Labs and Prep rooms are maintained in good working order, that practical materials for science lessons are prepared in a timely manner and ensuring the whole department is compliant with the appropriate health and safety regulations.
- To ensure the science laboratories are a safe and stimulating place to work and learn
- To participate in recruitment and training and line management of the Science Technician
- To support the department’s role in the wider community including support of work with primary schools
- To implement and disseminate all appropriate health and safety legislation and guidance with respect to science education including COSHH/CLEAPPS
