What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Knowledge of working in Science Laboratory: a minimum of one year’s working knowledge of basic science with appropriate laboratory experience
  • Educated to A Level or degree standard
  • An ability to communicate successfully with a variety of people both verbally and in writing
  • The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
  • Good practical skills
  • Experience of working in a busy environment with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • A sound knowledge of laboratory equipment and its uses, including the preparations required for practical lessons in schools
  • The ability to solve problems.
  • A sound knowledge of materials, their handling and storage and basic Health & Safety guidelines
  • Be understanding and supportive of the moral and spiritual ethos of a Catholic Academy
  • A willingness to work flexibly to meet the needs of the department and ensure deadlines are met
