Senior Site Officer job summary

Vacancy for Senior Site Officer

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 7, Points 12 to 19

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated individual to join our site team as Senior Site Officer. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site support function within the school whilst leading and line managing the site team in a supportive manner.

The ideal candidate will work evenings and weekends as the needs demand and will act as a main key holder out of hours. Will be responsible for a variety of tasks including maintaining a safe physical environment, ensuring the security and care of school buildings, furniture and equipment with particular emphasis on the day-to-day management of the site.

The opportunity

  • Support the Site Manager in leading and managing the site team effectively by resolving day to day line management issues and queries.
  • Produce weekly rotas of work duties in agreement with the site manager, ensuring all delegated tasks are completed.
  • Identifying and supporting any training needs of members of the site team.
  • Record and maintain official records using the Iamcompliant statutory compliance tool in line legal and ACOP guidance responsibilities.
  • Ensure the daily quality of the site through spot checks and seeking feedback from school leaders.
  • Managing the buildings Mechanical & Electrical equipment through the Building Management System (BMS) to reduce utility consumption and contribute to our Net 0 carbon aspirations.
  • Managing the allocation of Helpdesk tasks and ensuring the Site Team have the tools, materials and skills to complete all tasks.

The ideal candidate

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with others and provide supportive feedback and guidance.
  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Using your own initiative to be proactive in ensuring tasks are completed.
  • Time management skills.
  • Strong Health & Safety knowledge, able to deliver a safe environment for all building users, contractors and the Site Team.
  • Confident in the use of IT systems
