Site Assistant job summary

This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our dedicated support staff at Sir Thomas Fremantle School. The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Manager and team to carry out general repairs, maintenance and day-to-day site duties. You’ll need to be able to use your initiative, solve problems independently, and ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Opening and securing the school site

  • Conducting security checks and operating alarms

  • Carrying out minor repairs, decorating, and general maintenance

  • Supporting with health & safety tasks (e.g. legionella testing)

  • Preparing rooms for school functions, exams, and assemblies

  • Ensuring external areas are kept clear and safe in all weather conditions

What we’re looking for:

  • A practical, proactive individual who enjoys varied, hands-on work

  • Someone with good basic literacy and numeracy

  • A full driving licence (minibus entitlement desirable)

  • A willingness to undertake relevant training

Sir Thomas Fremantle is set in North Buckinghamshire for 11-16 year olds serving the local community. The school is in easy reach of Milton Keynes and Aylesbury. We benefit from great facilities – the school building was only opened in 2017.
