What skills and experience we're looking for
The University of Kent Academies Trust is seeking to appoint a Site Assistant to join their dependable and committed team. This role will be required to work at Brompton Academy, with some work at Chatham Grammar, under the direction of the Premises and Estates Manager and you will be required to work on a rota system of shifts, either morning or early afternoon or afternoon-evening. This role is full time, all year round, and is being offered on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of a site team who are dedicated to ensuring excellent standards in the maintenance work of the buildings and sites of the two academies. We are looking for an energetic and responsible person who either has some prior experience in a similar role or who possesses a skill set and aptitude to enable them to turn their hands to DIY maintenance or the ability to problem-solve and resolve basic site issues. You will need to be an effective communicator, have a good sense of humour and be willing to become a supportive member of a large site team.
What the school offers its staff
The successful applicant will be responsible and resilient, and in return will be coming to a multi-academy trust wide supportive learning environment, characterised by open management, and in the knowledge that they will enjoy the full support and care of the pragmatic (and down to earth) leadership team.
