We are seeking a proactive and reliable Site Assistant to oversee the safety, security, and maintenance of Priory Primary School.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school grounds are well-maintained, handling basic building repairs, managing cleaning duties, and liaising with contractors and suppliers.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and the Office Manager, taking responsibility for site operations while managing your own workload. The role may require flexibility for opening and closing the site, and managing lettings during peak times or in the absence of the Site Manager.

If you are self-motivated and able to work independently while prioritising the needs of the school, we would love to hear from you.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours as these may be altered at short notice to accommodate the business needs of the school.

There are two options available:

  • 20 hours for a Site Assistant role only
  • Up to 32 hours if combined with additional cleaning duties

You will be appointed on Grade 2 SCP 3.

  • Salary: £13,403 per annum (20 hours, AYR contract)
  • Salary: £21,445 per annum (32 hours including cleaning duties, AYR contract)

  • Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in maintaining a safe and clean environment
  • Has basic maintenance and DIY skills, with the ability to carry out minor repairs
  • Can work independently and manage their own workload effectively
  • Demonstrates a proactive and flexible approach to daily tasks
  • Has good communication skills and can liaise confidently with staff, contractors, and visitors
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Is willing to be flexible with working hours, including opening/closing the site when required
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community
