Are you proactive, reliable, and passionate about ensuring a safe and welcoming environment?

We are looking for a dedicated Site Assistant to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the smooth running of our school premises.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role, with responsibilities ranging from site maintenance and emergency cleaning to health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lock and unlock the school site, including setting and un-setting alarms.
  • Conduct checks on the school buildings for break-ins, damage, and utility functionality.
  • Assist with heating system management and general site upkeep.
  • Respond to maintenance tasks via our online system, ensuring they are completed efficiently.
  • Provide emergency cleaning, including managing sickness incidents and maintaining hygiene.
  • Perform regular health and safety checks, including legionella checks and reporting hazards.
  • Support the Site Manager with various tasks and contribute to site improvement initiatives.
  • Manage deliveries and ensure safe storage of goods.
  • Engage in manual handling tasks such as moving furniture and setting up spaces.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with staff, pupils, and external contractors.
  • Proactive approach to site maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and ability to apply them on-site.
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of COSHH and safe handling of hazardous substances.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a busy, ever-changing school environment.
