Working closely with the Head of School and the Trust Facilities Team, you will play a key role in ensuring both schools operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with statutory requirements.

This is much more than a traditional caretaker role. You will lead on premises management, health and safety compliance, security, contractor management and planned maintenance, ensuring both school sites are maintained to the highest standards.

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the management of the school premises across two primary schools.
  • Ensure statutory compliance in areas including health and safety, fire safety, legionella, asbestos and site security.
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance and oversee repairs and improvement projects.
  • Supervise contractors and monitor service contracts.
  • Support the effective day-to-day running of both sites.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, inspections and risk assessments.
  • Be proactive, organised and able to prioritise work effectively across two busy schools.
  • Build positive relationships with staff, pupils, parents and external contractors.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience in premises, facilities or site management.
  • Practical maintenance skills across a range of trades.
  • A sound understanding of health and safety legislation and statutory compliance.
  • Experience of supervising staff or contractors.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A flexible, positive and solution-focused approach.
  • A commitment to providing an outstanding environment for children and staff.

In return, we offer:

  • A rewarding and varied leadership role across two successful primary schools.
  • Friendly, welcoming and supportive staff teams.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing.
  • The opportunity to make a lasting difference to the daily experience of our children, staff and visitors.

Visits to the schools are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
