27.5 Hours per week (all year round)
Our site Managers currently do double shifts and alternate 6:30am to 6:00pm one week on / one week off.

Boothroyd Primary Academy is a large three-form academy serving over 600 pupils from the local Dewsbury community. We are looking for an experienced, flexible and committed Site Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of health and safety and preferably a background in maintenance of a large setting. You will be able to ensure that the school building/site is maintained to the highest of standards, providing a clean and safe/secure environment for all. In addition, you must be able to effectively manage the shifting demands of the school site to ensure that issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently. Previous experience of a similar role would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will:
Be pro-active in your approach and ideally have experience of working in a similar role with a clear understanding of Health & Safety related and safe working practices.
Undertake a wide range of repairs (including cleaning, maintenance, plumbing and decorating where required).
Have the ability to work with a wide range of people and be able to develop good working relationships.
Have excellent communication and IT skills, with a willingness to undertake further training as required.
Be able to manage the school site, building and grounds, including emergency alarm call out where necessary.
Be able to use the school’s Every system to update compliance records and manage maintenance jobs added to the system (full training will be given)
I Ideally will hold a full driving licence with D1 and be willing to drive the school minibus.
