Doddinghurst Junior School are seeking an energetic, pro-active Site Manager to join us and to help keep our school safe, welcoming and purposeful for children, staff and visitors. Are you solution focussed and ready to make a difference to our wonderful school site, which includes our own forest that requires continued care and attention?

We are looking for a practical and well-motivated person to take on a wide range of responsibilities and duties connected with ground and facilities maintenance of the site. Under the direction of the Headteacher and the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust H&S department you will also carry out Health and Safety checks in accordance with Trust policies to ensure the school remains compliant.

You will need to be:

  • A hands-on individual who can maintain, develop and implement systems and procedures;
  • Practical; with good DIY skills;
  • Able to contribute to projects and maintenance schedules;
  • Self-motivated and willing to work on your own initiative
  • Adaptable regarding hours of work to meet the needs of the school

Working Pattern

This is a part-time role, working 24 hours per week. We are flexible in how these hours are worked and welcome discussions to find a pattern that suits both the school and the successful candidate.

Examples of potential working arrangements include:

3 days per week (8 hours per day)

4 days per week (6 hours per day)

5 days per week (4.5 hours per day)

Start and finish times are negotiable, and we are open to considering alternative arrangements, including split shifts where appropriate. The minimum working pattern for this role is 3 days per week.
