School Site Manager (Caretaker) job summary

The successful candidate will have high standards and expectations, take pride in their work, be proactive and be able to respond and react to daily demands as well as to be able to plan ahead. They will have a good standard of DIY/maintenance skills, good level of IT, literacy and numeracy skills. An understanding of health and safety and security will be needed or a willingness to learn. A commitment to being a team player who can contribute to a friendly and supportive working environment is essential.

The role will be varied and will include day to day responsibility for all maintenance, security and health and safety aspects of the school site, its grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment as well as liaising with contractors. This is a varied role where you will need to be confident working on your own and be self-motivated with excellent time management skills. Reliability and good problem-solving skills are key. As a dynamic organisation, we are always looking for new ideas and ways forward.
