Site Manager job summary
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Site Manager, who embodies the values and principles of both the school and the Preston Hedges Trust. We are looking for an individual with good handy-person skills and a genuine enthusiasm to perform tasks efficiently.
The role requires a committed individual who will complete a wide range of duties and responsibilities connected with the day-to-day maintenance and repairs of the school, while ensuring a high level of health and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
Premises management, including:
- To ensure the school is kept well maintained and decorated through a programme of annual decoration and works.
- To order and supervise repairs and act as project manager for small maintenance contracts and improvement schemes, including involvement in quotes and arranging/monitoring work undertaken.
- To ensure the cleaning contractors maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the school
Security and Health & Safety, including:
- To monitor, report and advise on all security matters.
- To be responsible for the security of the premises, liaising with Preston Hedges Trust, Police and other emergency services in this respect as necessary
- To be responsible for unlocking and locking up of the school during term time and during school closure periods.
- All duties to be carried out in compliance with the Health & Safety at work Act, Nationally and locally agreed Codes of Practice which are relevant and the School’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedures
