Full time: Permanent position: 52 wks a year, 37 hrs a wk, 7-11am Mon-Fri & 3–6.30pm Thu/3.30-6.30pm Fri Flexibility in working hours is required to support the school with activities and any site issues. All holiday entitlement will need to be taken during the school holiday periods.

What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience in one or more of the following: plumbing, general and grounds maintenance, electrical/building maintenance, heating systems.
  • Experience of undertaking responsibility for the care and maintenance of premises including cleaning.
  • Skills in carpentry/ joinery or painting to competent DIY standard.
  • Experience working as part of a team.
  • IT literacy for record keeping, communication and compliance documentation.

The Site Manager can often be the first point of call for visitors to the school, parents, staff and children. As one of the ‘faces’ of the school the Site Manager should be welcoming, personable, helpful and able to represent the school in a professional and friendly manner.

The Site Manager will ensure the security, care and availability of the building, furniture, fittings and equipment, ensure a high-quality physical environment and promote the efficient use of the school’s assets. They will be expected to manage site Health & Safety compliance and carry out a full range of duties to provide exacting standards of cleanliness, general security and maintenance of the school premises. This will include cleaning, maintenance activities and supervision of school cleaning staff and will be conducted under the general supervision of the School Office Manager.
