Site Manager - Specialist Premises & Facilities Leadership
Newbridge Academy is a large, inclusive all-through SEND academy dedicated to empowering pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. With two dynamic campuses and a wide age range, we offer a unique and rewarding environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference.
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on Site Manager to lead our premises and facilities team across both sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the learning environment for our pupils and supporting the wider community through lettings and specialist services.
Your Role Will Include:
- Leadership & Oversight
Manage caretakers and cleaners across both sites, ensuring high standards and efficient operations. Lead by example and support staff development through performance monitoring and work allocation. - Specialist Premises Management
Take charge of specialist site services, including hydro pool facilities, and ensure our buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and inspiring. - Health & Safety Champion
Conduct daily checks, manage fire safety systems, and promote a culture of safety for pupils, staff, and visitors. - Security & Surveillance
Oversee alarm systems, CCTV, and site access procedures. Be the first line of defence against risks like vandalism and arson. - Maintenance & Contractor Coordination
Supervise external contractors and contribute to planned and preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure timely repairs and upkeep of facilities. - Out-of-Hours Support
Assist with lettings and community use of facilities, including hydro pool access (additional hours available via timesheet). - Reporting & Analysis
Maintain accurate records and produce reports to support strategic decision-making.

We are part of the Astrum Multi Academy Trust with two school sites, which are within one mile of each other. Lower School is for pupils in Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and Upper School for students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and 16-19.
Pupils transfer from Gresham Drive to Barley Lane Campus at the end of Key Stage 2 and are supported to do this through a well-planned transition programme.
