Site Manager job summary

Park Aspire AP Academy is seeking a skilled, reliable, and proactive Site Manager to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced facilities professional to play a vital role in ensuring that our academy remains a safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained environment for all pupils, staff, and visitors.

Park Aspire is a specialist Alternative Provision Academy providing personalised support and education to pupils who require a different approach to learning. Our team is passionate about transforming lives, building confidence, and ensuring every young person can thrive. As Site Manager, you will be central to ensuring the academy is an environment where staff and pupils can succeed every day. The successful candidate will play a key role at the school; you will work closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and Chief Estates Officer to not only manage the security of the building but to take a pro-active role in the maintenance and management of the school site and ensure that the school complies with all requirements of Health and Safety and risk management.

The Role

As our Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, security, and cleanliness of the academy site
  • Coordinating external contractors
  • Ensuring the academy complies with health & safety legislation and best practice
  • Completing routine maintenance, repairs, and emergency works
  • Managing site-related records, checks, and compliance documentation
  • Ensuring the school grounds, buildings, and facilities are safe, secure, and ready for learning
  • Supporting improvements to the site environment in line with academy priorities
  • Supervise our Caretaker

This is a hands-on role requiring excellent organisation, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in premises management, site supervision, caretaking, or a related maintenance role
  • Understands health & safety, compliance, and safeguarding requirements
  • Is practical, solutions-focused, and confident carrying out general repairs
  • Can work effectively with staff, pupils, and contractors
  • Has strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Takes pride in maintaining a high-quality learning environment
  • Holds a full driving licence

Relevant qualifications (e.g., trade skills, H&S training, COSHH, first aid) are desirable but not essential.
