Rochford Primary & Nursery School (Academy)
Scale 5 (Point 9 to 12)
Hours: 37 hours per week (term time) plus 3 weeks during school closure periods (41 weeks)
Required: January 2025
Candidates must also be able to work extra hours as required, for additional payment.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly and well-resourced school. Reliability and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential for the post, as are proven maintenance skills.
Duties will include minor and routine maintenance work, maintaining security of our site, general supervision of contractors, assisting with setting out the hall and rooms for assemblies, meetings etc., cleaning duties, reporting and /or responding to building maintenance issues and other matters as required, ensuring compliance with H&S legislation, maintaining records as required and assist with the provision of other services provided by the school such as events or other manual tasks as required.
Candidates should have a friendly, approachable and professional manner and have a good rapport with staff and children. Be punctual, reliable and demonstrate initiative.
Training in safeguarding, health and safety, legionella and fire marshalling would be advantageous but appropriate training will be given. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, medical clearance and satisfactory references.
