Your role:
As Site Manager at Thomas Deacon Academy, you’ll take on a key leadership role at the heart of our Facilities and Estates team. You’ll shape and maintain the environment that supports learning, growth and community across our impressive campus.
You’ll lead a team of Property Services Officers, manage contractors, and ensure the site is secure, safe and fully operational. From unlocking buildings and setting up rooms to overseeing health and safety and technical systems, you’ll deliver a high-quality caretaking and facilities service. You’ll be the main keyholder and a central figure in maintaining the Academy’s physical environment, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure everything from waste management to fire safety is handled with care and precision.
To succeed, you’ll need strong leadership skills, hands-on maintenance experience, and the ability to work flexibly and independently. A full driving licence is essential, and while qualifications in health & safety or maintenance are desirable, your initiative, reliability and communication skills are what will set you apart.
