VACANCY FOR SITE OFFICER
Orton Wistow Primary School & Nene Valley Primary School
Salary:
Meridian Trust Support Staff, Grade 6, Point 7-12 , £26,403 FTE
Hours of work:
37 Hours /52 Weeks
Hours will be split between sites as follows: 24 Hours (Nene Valley) & 13 Hours (Orton Wistow)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team as a Site Officer. This key role will ensure the smooth operation of the site support function within the schools, primarily Orton Wistow and Nene Valley, providing support to the Headteachers.
The Opportunity
Monitor, daily, the quality of site works through spot checks, and proactively seek feedback from team leaders in the schools
Responsible for ensuring the building and contents are secured
Carry out all Health & Safety related works in connection with the site operations, ensuring all risk assessments, workplace inspections and other checks are completed in a timely and competent fashion, being a focal point for the teams in respect of health and safety
Maintaining constant awareness of the physical condition of the building, furniture and equipment and taking appropriate steps to ensure maintenance and repairs when necessary
Undertake porterage duties as required and particularly the laying out of furniture and other equipment for timetabled activities without direct instruction
The ideal candidate
Good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language CPD
Experience of customer interface
The interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, parents, and other outside agencies (by phone and in person)
Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues
Support the Academy policies on safeguarding and child protection
