Site Security Officer job summary
Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London with a strong tradition of excellence. The Headteacher is looking to appoint a professional, customer-focused, proactive and flexible Site Security Officer to join our Site Team. We are looking for someone who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong situational awareness and the ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergencies.
The role will assist in ensuring a safe, secure environment for our pupils, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities will include conducting routine checks, logging incidents, and escorting visitors as required. Security experience would be advantageous, and a good working knowledge of health and safety practices is essential. The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable, and possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Premises team, working closely with the Site and Facilities Manager. The role is 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only (40 weeks per year), although applications for a full-year (52 weeks) contract are also welcomed
There may be occasions where weekend working is required, by agreement, and paid as overtime. As such, flexibility is essential for this role.
Working hours align with the school day: 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, and 8:00am to 3:30pm on Fridays.
