Kingsway Community Primary School is at the heart of our community, is for children aged between 4 to 11 years old, which is situated in Leamington Spa and is currently undergoing extensive renovation. Kingsway Community Primary School is part of the Community Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools in community Hubs, through applying a holistic view of education.

We are looking for a hard-working, honest and enthusiastic member of the team who will be fully immersed in school life and who will care passionately about the safe operation of the school for the staff and pupils.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Providing efficient and effective caretaking to the school including ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards set by the school and that heating systems operate at optimum efficiency.
Repairs and maintenance, liaising with contractors, security of the buildings and site, replacing hygiene products, porterage duties, ensuring the school environment is well maintained and health and safety requirements are met and show initiative when work needs to be completed.
The post will also involve keeping the school site, safe, clean, and tidy.
This role involves being a key holder for the premises and will include responsibility for site security including locking and unlocking premises and will require a preferred 30 hour: working pattern:
Monday - Friday: 7am - 12pm and 5-6pm
Flexibility of these times may be considered for the right candidate. Some alteration of hours is required at times to fit around the operational needs of the school, liaising with contractors etc. This may involve occasional split shifts, working out of normal school opening hours and holiday cover for opening and locking the school as required.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate that they can use their own initiative when prioritising job requests and be flexible, friendly and approachable to our staff, pupils and parents.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team in the school as well as the Estates Manager from the Community Academies Trust.
