Site Supervisor
Uppingham Community College
Salary: Grade 5/6 Pay Point 12-22 (£28,598 - £33,699 per annum, dependant on skills and experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, hours to be discussed at interview.
About the Role
Uppingham Community College are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Site Supervisor to be a proactive integrated member of the School Staff Team, to be responsible for the supervision of our site and the maintenance and security of our buildings.
We would encourage potential candidates to arrange a tour of our site.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, that the College site remains compliant with all current legislation and statutory guidance.
Maintain the College buildings and grounds in excellent repair, including structure, fabric and finishes.
Ensure the site is secure, safe, clean and welcoming for staff, pupils, visitors and lettings users.
Lead and manage the site team to deliver a high-performing, responsive, and professional estates function.

To line manage and develop colleagues at UCC to ensure high quality outcomes for all groups of children.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to obtain).
First Aid qualification (or willingness to train).
Experience:
Experience in site, premises or estates management.
Experience supervising a team.
Experience managing contractors and statutory compliance.
Experience responding to emergency call-outs.
Experience overseeing cleaning standards.
Skills & Knowledge:
Good IT skills with ability to use a range of technology
Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation.
Understanding of safeguarding and site security.
Ability to conduct risk assessments. (Or willingness to learn).
Confident user of compliance systems (Parago, EVERY or similar).

Other Requirements
Willingness to work flexibly including evenings, weekends and emergency call-outs.
