Site Technician job summary
Thank you for your interest in the role of Site Technician at The Milton Keynes Academy.
We have a fantastic opportunity for an energetic and motivated individual to join our Facilities Team to help us ensure that our school provides a safe, welcoming and purposeful environment for children, staff and visitors. We are looking for a practical and well-motivated person to join our team of committed staff.
The role will include a wide range of responsibilities and duties connected with the fabric of the building, health and safety, grounds and facilities maintenance and security. You will need to be a hands-on individual who can develop and implement systems/procedures as well as maintain current ones, be sympathetic to environmental concerns regarding the school and grounds, be able to support with and implement risk assessments and any recommendations and contribute to projects and maintenance schedules.
The nature of the post requires the postholder to work to a flexible roster, between the hours
of 06:00 and 22:00 directed by the Facilities Manager. Annual hours will be based on an
average working week of 37 hours over 52 weeks, with 25 days holiday entitlement + Bank
Holidays, (rising to 27 after 5 years’ service).
