  • Have experience of Health & Safety, COSHH, IOSH

  • Be able to work constructively using own initiative in the absence of senior staff

Woodlands School, part of Marches Academy Trust, are seeking a caring, resourceful, reliable, self -motivated individual who will take pride in our school premises and grounds. You would be working in a team of 2. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative and have excellent organisational skills. 37 hours per week – full year working

Roles and Responsibilities include:

  • Responsibility for Health & Safety and Security of the school site, including locking and unlocking the school every day during term time and some weeks of the holidays
  • Maintaining the school in an excellent condition both externally and internally
  • Managing external contractors, servicing works and small projects
  • Monitoring site stock and ordering supplies
  • Minor repairs to include minor plumbing, joinery, electrical work, internal decoration and maintenance, painting and decorating.
  • Communicating effectively with a range of people including children, staff, visitors and external agencies
