Sixth Form Student Support Officer job summary
Are you passionate about working with young people and supporting them to succeed?
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Sixth Form Student Support Officer to join our vibrant Sixth Form team. In this varied and rewarding role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of Sixth Form life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the use of Sixth Form study areas, particularly the Durning Room, maintaining a focused and respectful learning environment
- Monitor student attendance, promoting high standards of punctuality and engagement
- Provide support to individual students, helping them stay on track academically and personally
- Work collaboratively with other Student Support Officers and Sixth Form staff
- Carry out a range of administrative tasks to support the effective operation of the Sixth Form
About You:
- Excellent communication skills, with a calm and approachable manner
- Proven experience of working with or interacting with young adults in an educational or pastoral setting
- Able to manage behaviour in a firm but supportive way
- Highly organised with good administrative skills
- Ideally First Aid trained, or willing to undertake training

Working Hours: 12 hours per week, term time only, Thursday/Friday 8.30 am to 3 pm
