We are looking for a highly motivated Study Centre Co-ordinator to ensure the learning environment and culture within the Sixth Form Study Centre is conducive to effective study; Provide learning and pastoral support for identified groups of students. Provide accurate and up to date guidance on a range of career paths, including UCAS, Higher Education and Apprenticeships in liaison.

Key responsibilities:

    • Supervise the Sixth Form Study Centre and ensure students are using their time purposefully, monitoring behaviour, resources and helping students where appropriate. This includes the supervision of the study area and C rooms at lunch and break.
    • Act as a form tutor for identified students/groups as required.
    • On an annual basis update the resources contained within the centre, liaising with staff as appropriate.
    • Support students with the UCAS process and guide them to useful websites for career planning.
    • Support students with the writing of UCAS personal statements and the completion of on-line application form.

      Pay range:

      SCP 14-16 FTE: £29,540 - £30,518 - Actual Salary: £25,981.24 - £26,841.42

      Permanent, 37 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks) plus 5 additional days.

      08:30 - 16:30 Mon - Thur, 08:30 - 16:00 Fri. Half an hour for lunch.


      Qualifications and Skills:

      • Good qualifications in both English and Maths or equivalent.
      • Awareness of social, economic, and mental health factors impacting student wellbeing and performance.
      • Understanding statutory guidance and school policies for keeping students safe.
