Social Media and Content Creator job summary

Contract: 15 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (flexibility required to support events outside core hours)

Salary: Col2 (£24,431 – £25,363 FTE), Pro-rated to £8,406 – £8,727

Working Arrangement: Hybrid – a mix of on-site and remote working, with in-person attendance required for key events and activities.


We are seeking a creative, organised, and proactive Social Media and Content Creator to join our school team. This is a varied role focused on enhancing the school’s visibility, reputation, and community engagement through high-quality, engaging content.

The successful candidate will be responsible for media posts, maintaining the school website, and creating publications that reflect the school’s values and achievements. You will also play a key role in growing and engaging our online community, monitoring and responding to messages, and supporting digital marketing activities.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience creating content for multiple social media platforms
  • Is confident with photography, video production, and editing
  • Is highly organised, adaptable, and able to work to deadlines
  • Can communicate clearly and work collaboratively with staff, students, and external organisations

Experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential — what matters most is creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for telling our school’s story.
