Social Sciences Faculty Leader (Head of Department) job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Sciences Faculty Leader to join our successful, dynamic and friendly team.
The Social Sciences Faculty Leader is a key figure in leadership and management of the curriculum and staff in the school. They oversee the subjects taught within the department, which are Psychology, Sociology, Criminology and Child Development. The ideal candidate will teach Psychology and one other subject to A’ Level.
We are a successful forward thinking Upper School based in a beautiful rural setting in the heart of central Bedfordshire with excellent transport links. We offer staff the opportunity to work in a friendly, supportive community with talented, caring and dedicated colleagues.
From September 2025 we are moving to a 1pm Friday finish to support staff and student well-being. Please see the charter for our wider approach to staff well-being.
