Sociology Teacher job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated qualified teacher of sociology.
Your opportunity

What we are looking for
We look for talented individuals who want to be a part of transforming education in London, and helping create exceptional places of learning. The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree
Have successful teaching experience at secondary level (can be teaching practice), ideally including experience in multi-ethnic urban schools and within an 11-18 school
Understand the theory and practice of effective teaching and learning
Have knowledge of National curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4
Understand the importance of having high expectations for all students, both of behaviour and academic achievement
Understand inclusive provision and practices which offer equality of access to the curriculum for all students, including SEND, EAL and high achievers
Have knowledge and experience of writing lesson plans, developing resources and assessing students work
Understand the importance of being a Tutor
