Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENDCO) job summary

You will have experience of working directly with children or young people in any setting and be willing to work with others as part of a highly organised strong team, providing excellent communication, superior support to colleagues and learners. There will be a teaching commitment in your specialist subject.
The school have a very strong team of teaching and pastoral staff committed to enabling every student to enjoy learning and achieve their potential, so are looking for an equally strong SENDCO to help build on the provision in this area.
The SENDCO will take responsibility for the day-to-day and strategic operation of the SEND department including the Hearing Support department. You will also work closely with staff, parents/carers and other agencies. The SENDCO also provides professional guidance to staff in order to help ensure high quality teaching and the effective use of resources to secure an inclusive education. The school will support with any statutory training.
