What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Previous teaching experience in a relevant setting with evidence of delivering high quality inclusive teaching and learning
  • Demonstrate outstanding organisational, management, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Have the ability to motivate and support all members of the academy community

  • To lead and determine the strategic development of special educational needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school under the direction of the headteacher
  • Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
  • Provide professional guidance and working in partnership with colleagues, working closely with staff, parents and carers, and other agencies
  • To work closely with SLT and staff to ensure successful transition for our children
  • Seek to inspire

  • Act as Designated Teacher for Looked After Children (LAC)
  • Effectively leading, supporting and developing learners, families and professionals
