Special Educational Needs Educational Support Assistant job summary

 
We are seeking to recruit talented individuals to join our team of staff to work 1:1 with a pupil in our Early Years Foundation Stage Unit (post 2) and a pupil in Year 1 ( post 1).  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for these challenging roles. Both children have severe special educational needs, typical of children with autism. 

The posts are to commence 8 September 2021 and are for a period up to 26 July 2022 in the first instance.  The working hours are:
Post 1: Monday to Friday 08:50 am – 3:30 pm – 27.5 hours per week 
Post 2: Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 11:00 am - 10 hours per week
Please indicate on your application whether you are interested in post 1 and post 2.

Experience of working with children with autism and pre verbal communication skills would be an advantage. The successful applicants must be hard working, organised and, above all, have experience of working with children with SEN. The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a team to support the learning and welfare of pupils in school.  Particular emphasis will be on working with individual pupils and small groups.
