Meadowfield School is looking to appoint an innovative and inspirational special needs teacher, 2 days per week as part of a job share in our Extended Impacts Department. The successful candidate will require a range of essential skills in delivering a curriculum adapted to children with special educational needs.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Teachers to join our highly skilled team, making a difference to our pupils with profound, severe and complex needs.

If you want to teach in a welcoming, joyful school community, and you share our passion and determination to unlock the potential in every pupil, then we have the ideal teaching role for you!

Experience of working in a special needs setting and teaching pupils with ASD as well as learning difficulties is desirable, but not essential. If you work in a mainstream setting and are curious about Special Needs Schools, you are welcome to contact us to find out more.

Now is an exciting time to join our Outstanding school as we expand to better meet the demand for special school places in Swale. We are incredibly proud our latest Ofsted report. Ofsted recognise that relationships between our staff and pupils are exceptionally positive, and we are delighted that our pupils told inspectors they are very happy at the school and really enjoy their lessons.

We encourage all of our employees to further their career development and we respect initiative and ambition. We are committed to performance management, staff training, coaching, mentoring and peer support.

If you are appointed to a teaching role with us, we guarantee that you will be well supported. You will receive a structured process of induction and will benefit from the collective support of an experienced network of colleagues.

From all staff we expect commitment to the school and a desire to improve and excel. Further information about the responsibilities of the role can be found in the attached job description.
