Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and welcoming school?

We are now recruiting for an Experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our small mixed Nursery and Reception class. This is an exciting opportunity for a caring, motivated professional who is passionate about early childhood education and making a real difference to young learners.

About the Role

Working closely with the class teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality early years provision. The role includes supporting learning across Nursery and Reception, leading and contributing to small-group and individual teaching and providing excellent support for children’s early language development.

You will work with children with a range of needs, including SEND, adapting learning and provision to ensure inclusion and progress for all. The role also involves contributing to engaging indoor and outdoor learning experiences, supporting assessment and observation and promoting children’s wellbeing.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working within an EYFS setting.
  • Be confident and effective in teaching and supporting small groups of children.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of early language and communication development.
  • Have experience supporting children with SEND and adapting practice to meet individual needs.
  • Have a good understanding of the EYFS Framework.

Desirable:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
  • Experience supporting creative planning and producing learning resources.
  • Experience working in a mixed Nursery and Reception class.
  • Knowledge of outdoor provision and outdoor learning.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is creative, adaptable and has a good sense of humour, with a genuine love of working with young children. You will bring fun, positive and engaging energy into the classroom while maintaining a professional approach. You will work well as part of a small, supportive team and show a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for learning.
