Are you passionate about inclusive education and dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?

Holly Meadows School is excited to offer a unique opportunity for a skilled and compassionate teacher to join our brand-new, purpose-built Specialist Hub of Inclusive Practice (SHIP) for children in EYFS and Key Stage 1.

Our SHIP is a 16 place base. The EYFS/KS1 classroom in our SHIP will cater for a small cohort of up to 8 pupils, providing an exceptional staff-to-pupil ratio that allows for highly individualised learning experiences. This is a rare opportunity to help establish and shape the provision from the very beginning, ensuring that our approach, environment, and culture truly reflect best practice in inclusive education.

SHIPs provide outstanding, evidence-based provision for children with a range of co-occurring needs. At Holly Meadows, we believe every child deserves to thrive. Our specialist hub is designed to create a tailored, nurturing environment where pupils can flourish both in their learning and personal development.

If you are an innovative and reflective practitioner who is excited by the chance to build something new and impactful, we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

  • Teach and support children within our Early Intervention Hub, ensuring all pupils receive personalised, high-quality learning opportunities.
  • Work closely with a skilled support staff team to provide outstanding inclusive practice.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and specialist partners to ensure joined-up, child-centred provision.
  • Support the inclusion of children in mainstream classes and wider school life where appropriate.
  • Maintain a strong safeguarding culture within the SHIP.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of outstanding provision for children with SEND.

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience of successfully teaching and supporting children with SEND.
  • A reflective practitioner with a strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and commitment to trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches.
  • Someone with excellent interpersonal skills who can work confidently with families, multi-agency professionals, and the wider hub network.
  • A teacher with creativity, resilience, and a belief in the potential of every child.

Why join us?

At Holly Meadows, we are proud to be part of a county-wide network of Specialist Hubs of Inclusive Practice. Our inclusive ethos runs through everything we do — we believe in belonging, inclusion, and ambition for all. This is a chance to be part of a provision that is genuinely transformative for children and families.

You will also benefit from:

  • A supportive and collaborative school community
  • Opportunities for professional development within SEND practice
  • The chance to make a measurable impact on children’s lives every single day
  • Working on an amazing school site in a new purpose-built environment
  • The opportunity to be involved in curriculum and environment design for our youngest pupils.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.

Join us at Holly Meadows School — and help shape a future where every child is empowered to thrive.
