What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Specialist Intervention Teacher to join our team. This role is central to helping our predominantly Primary-aged learners build strong foundations in numeracy and literacy, empowering them to access the wider curriculum and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
What You’ll Do
- Plan, lead and assess small group sessions and 1:1 interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Design creative, evidence-based strategies to boost literacy and numeracy.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent progress.
- Track and celebrate learner achievements, adapting approaches to maximise impact.
- Contribute to our vibrant school community, promoting inclusion and success for all.
By enabling learners to develop these essential skills, you will be directly supporting our vision — helping them to become confident, fulfilled individuals and compassionate citizens.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you are:
- An experienced qualified teacher, experience in a SEN setting would be beneficial.
- Skilled in delivering targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy.
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting learners with diverse needs.
- A strong communicator who enjoys working as part of a team.
- Creative, adaptable, and motivated to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
