Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant job summary

Ashgate Croft is a large and complex area special school.  We provide education and care for pupils with
learning difficulties, including autism, profound and multiple learning
difficulties and associated communication, behavioural and physical needs. 

 We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Specialist
Teaching & Learning Assistant to support access to learning for pupils in our middle school department and provide general support to
the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom as and when required. Please see job description and person specification for full details.

This is a temporary position linked to maternity cover and is for 32.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri) for 39 weeks per year.

Please note that we are required to have references prior to interviews taking place due to safeguarding regulations, so references will be requested for all shortlisted candidates prior to interviews

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the
successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring
Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent
