Specialist Teaching Assistant- Emotional Coach job summary
The successful candidate will:
- Support students on a one-to-one or small group basis, providing encouragement and assistance with their emotional and behavioural development.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where students feel safe, respected, and supported.
- Assist in implementing individual support plans and strategies to meet the specific needs of each student, recognising triggers and breaking down barriers.
- Build positive relationships with students, promoting their emotional well-being and self-esteem. To include one-to-one mentoring.
Previous experience is essential and applicants should be able demonstrate this when completing an application.
A good level of literacy and be competent in the use of IT; the ability to effectively use Microsoft Word is also essential.
