Specialist Teaching Assistant - Secondary job summary

We require a specialist Teaching Assistant based at our secondary provision in Kempston, to assist teachers working with pupils.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specialist Teaching Assistant in the Secondary Provision

  • To assist teachers with all aspects of their work within the provision
  • To contribute to physical, social, emotional and intellectual well being of the pupils
  • To work with groups or individuals within the unit or within other areas of the Alternative Provision Academy if the need arises
  • To support pupils during breakfast, break times and lunch times
  • To administer medication as required (training will be provided
