Speech and Language Therapist
Salary: Band 5/6 (NHS Agenda for Change pay scale)- Outer London
37.5 hours per week, 42 weeks per year (term time including Inset days plus 3 weeks during school closure)
Capella House is a unique specialist school in Twickenham, West London and is part of the Auriga Academy Trust. We aim to provide the very best education, opportunities and therapeutic input for children and young people aged between 4 and 16 years who have speech, language and communication needs. Capella House opened in 2019 with brand new facilities and is a forward-thinking, growing school.
We are looking to appoint a Speech and Language Therapist who is enthusiastic, keen to learn, and would fit in well with an already established multi-disciplinary team. This position is split across our primary and secondary school sites.
Speech and Language Therapists play a core role in school life, by not only supporting students and families directly, but by working closely with education staff to create a communication-friendly and specialised learning environment. Alongside the senior SALTs, you will complete assessments, deliver therapy, train others, and help to shape a developing service while enhancing your own clinical skills. An extensive supervision package and weekly CPD opportunities are provided.
The SALT should have a HCPC-recognised speech and language degree. Newly qualified therapists are encouraged to apply.
You will be joining a friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable team and will have access to a wealth of training and development opportunities, including robust clinical supervision and peer support.
Further benefits at the Trust include
- Our Employee Assistance Program- available to support you in times of need. Reach out confidentially for assistance with personal or work-related challenges.
- The Cycle to Work scheme- apply for a brand-new bike and equipment through your salary, saving up to 42%.
- Blue Light Discount opportunity
- Corporate Eye Care Scheme
- NHS payscale
- Recruitment Referral Scheme
- Wider opportunities for career progression and professional development across the Trust, with the ability to move across different settings and divisions.
Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the Director of Therapies, Kerri Morgan.
Closing date for applications: 9 am, 22nd June 2026
Interviews: week commencing 29th June 2026
