Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

The Romero Catholic Academy is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our Central Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a dynamic and supportive Multi Academy Company (MAC), helping pupils with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) thrive across eight schools.
Your role will include:
- Delivering targeted language interventions under the guidance of qualified therapists
- Supporting inclusive classroom practices and adapting learning materials
- Working one-to-one or with small groups to build communication confidence
- Collaborating with SENCo, teachers, parents, and external specialists
- Monitoring pupil progress and maintaining accurate records
- Helping young people navigate key transitions with tailored communication support
What we’re looking for:
We’re after someone with experience in educational or care settings who understands the impact of communication on learning. Patience, empathy, and a strong team ethic are essential. Familiarity with AAC strategies, Makaton, and phonics is a definite plus.
