What skills and experience we're looking for
We are recruiting a dynamic Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to support children and young adults at Elm Court School to develop their communication skills. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a creative and skilled communicator who is interested in developing skills in the field of communication and interaction working under the guidance of Speech and Language Therapists. You will be carrying out communication and interaction programmes in 1:1, small group and classroom settings, with support from Speech and Language Therapists on site; this role will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team at Elm Court

Elm Court is a special school for pupils aged 9 to 19 years who have learning difficulties with associated social and communication needs. Many of our pupils have autism.

Line management and supervision will be provided by an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, with flexible opportunities for broader supervision and continuing professional development.
A satisfactory enhanced DBS check is a condition of employment for all employees.
