Franklin College is seeking an energetic and dedicated Sports Co-Ordinator to lead the planning, delivery, and promotion of our sport and health programme. This is an exciting opportunity to shape a dynamic and inclusive offer that supports students’ personal development, wellbeing, and progression.

The Role

  • Coordinate and deliver a diverse programme of competitive and recreational sport, both onsite and offsite
  • Plan inclusive, engaging sessions that support physical wellbeing, mental health, and key life skills
  • Promote sport-related enrichment using social media and at college events
  • Organise and support college representation at local, regional and national competitions
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams (Sport, Admissions, Marketing, School Liaison)
  • Support school engagement events, parents' evenings and open days
  • Promote equality, diversity and inclusion through accessible sporting opportunities
  • Contribute to safeguarding and ensure all activities are delivered safely and responsibly
  • You will play a key role in embedding student voice into everything you deliver and evaluating the impact of the programme.

Who We are Looking For

  • We’re looking for someone who is:
  • Energetic, motivated and confident leading student groups
  • Skilled at building relationships and inspiring participation
  • Experienced in planning, delivering and evaluating sports/enrichment activities
  • Able to use social media effectively to engage students
  • Organised, adaptable and comfortable working independently
  • Committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and personal development

You will need:

  • A relevant sporting, coaching or health qualification
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends

Desirable qualifications:

  • Mental health-related or additional coaching qualifications
  • Knowledge of the local community and barriers to participation
  • Clean Driving Licence (willingness to drive a minibus)
