We are looking for a Student Pastoral Assistant to join us on a part time basis for up to 27.5 hours per week, with the option to be flexible for the right candidate.

We are seeking a Student Pastoral Assistant to join the Student Services Team at our state-of-the-art academy in Deal. The successful candidate will promote high standards of behaviour and learning in accordance with the Academy Behaviour and Leaning Policy and will provide a visible presence across the Academy during lessons and unstructured times.

As Student Pastoral Assistant you will support students by helping to address any pastoral or behavioural needs of students who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work with students, parents, staff and other agencies to bring about improved behaviour and attendance at school.

Our Student Pastoral Assistant will;

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Undertaking First Aid training.
  • Supervise detentions as required
  • Provide on call support to teaching staff.
  • Oversee and carry out daily uniform and equipment checks.
